Travel Planning“The pleasure isn't in doing the thing, the pleasure is in planning it.” ― John Green, Paper Towns
The planning and anticipation make every trip so exciting. Some trips are planned months in advance, others happen in a matter of weeks but every trip has some pre-planning. |
Guidebook |
For each trip, I like to have a guidebook of the country.
My guidebook of choice is The Lonely Planet. It's purely personal preference but I keep going back to the Lonely Planet because I find the layout clear, straightforward and once you've navigated one book, they all follow the same format. |
Travel Diary |
I still like to go old school and keep a written travel diary.
Pre-trip my travel diary is my planning book. I find it helpful to have all flight and accommodation details written down in order, just in case I come to an airport or hotel and lose my ticket or cannot access the internet. |
