In July/August 2013 I was planning a month in India.  I was taking a 21 day basic trip with Intrepid Travel. As it was a "basic trip" it meant a lot of overnight trains, hours of buses and lots of reading time! It was time I tried a Kindle.  The best decision I ever made and now it comes with me on every trip.

I'm not a great reader of factual books, I like to read books set in the country I'm visiting. Present day or Historical fiction, I like a bit of both.
Listed below are some of my favourite books listed with the country they are set in.

A great resource to locate a book set in a particular country is:
www.tripfiction.com I can highly recommend it and their twitter account @TripFiction is very responsive!
